The Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to a one-year contract with center Tristan Thompson, according to his agent Rich Paul. Thompson previously won an NBA title with the Cavs in 2016 and played nine seasons with the team. He will provide depth, toughness, and postseason experience to the Cavaliers. The 32-year-old has averaged 9.0 points and 8.4 rebounds in his career and has appeared in 94 playoff games. Cleveland went 51-31 in the regular season last season and returned to the playoffs for the first time since 2018. Thompson has also played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers, and Chicago Bulls. Overall, this move brings back a familiar face to the Cavaliers’ lineup.
