The Winterthur Museum, Library, and Garden in Delaware is hosting the largest exhibition dedicated to the work of black designer Ann Lowe. Lowe, who designed for high society families from the 1920s through the 1960s, was rarely credited for her work, which spanned 40 years. The exhibition, titled “Ann Lowe: American Couturier,” curated by Elizabeth Way, features 40 pieces from Lowe’s career, many of which are on public display for the first time. The exhibition aims to shed light on Lowe’s legacy and her contributions to the fashion industry. The exhibition runs through Jan. 27.
