Benedict College’s football team made an emphatic statement in their season opener against Shaw University, winning 52-0 in the Carolinas Classic. The Tigers showcased a balanced attack, with quarterback Aeneas Dennis leading the offense with 243 passing yards and two touchdowns. The defense also remained strong, limiting Shaw to 169 yards and 10 first downs. Benedict College dominated last season and continues to have high expectations this year. Head coach Chennis Berry believes they have the potential to have an even better defense than last year. Benedict College is determined to remain the hunters and continue their winning streak.
