Coco Gauff, the 19-year-old American tennis player, received praise and congratulations from former President Barack Obama after her victory in the U.S. Open. Obama congratulated Gauff on her first Grand Slam title and expressed his pride in her accomplishments. Gauff also received messages of support from other prominent figures, including former First Lady Michelle Obama and former President Bill Clinton. Gauff expressed her gratitude for the incredible support she has received, and she and her parents received a congratulatory phone call from President Joe Biden. Gauff also thanked tennis icon Billie Jean King for her pioneering work in equal prize money.
