Kamlager-Dove expressed the need to protect hip-hop artists and educate people about the genre’s significance. She was joined by other representatives and Shakur’s sister. Kamlager-Dove also called for solving Shakur’s murder case and criticized Republicans for not prioritizing the needs of the many.
