Hunter played basketball for Ohio University before his NBA career and was known for his rebounding ability. He holds several records at the university, including most free throws attempted and made, and most rebounds. After his NBA career, Hunter played internationally before his death. He is survived by his wife and three children. Ohio basketball coach Jeff Boals expressed his sadness over Hunter’s passing and praised his accomplishments.
