The family of 14-year-old Harris Wolobah, who died after eating an extremely spicy tortilla chip as part of a social media challenge, believes that the chip caused his death. The chip is part of the One Chip Challenge, where participants must eat the spicy chip and see how long they can go without consuming other food and water. The Texas-based manufacturer of the chip, Paqui, has asked retailers to stop selling the product. Authorities have also warned parents about the challenge, as there have been reports of people getting sick after participating. The cause of Wolobah’s death is still pending an autopsy.
