A former employee of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) has filed a lawsuit accusing the organization and its leaders of racial discrimination and defamation. Regina Bratton alleges that she was the only African American worker at CPAC and experienced hostility from the leadership. Bratton claims that CPAC’s leadership created a hostile work environment and treated employees poorly. She is seeking $55 million in damages. The lawsuit also names the American Conservative Union, CPAC’s parent group, and its foundation as defendants. This is the latest legal challenge for CPAC, which has faced allegations of sexual abuse and financial mismanagement.
