Former NFL offensive lineman Michael Oher has filed a petition in court to end a conservatorship signed in 2004 when he was 18 years old. Oher claims that the couple who took him in, Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy, lied about their intentions to adopt him and used legal agreements to get rich off his name and story. Oher wants the conservatorship to be terminated and a full accounting of the money earned off his name to be done. The Tuohys have denied the claims and have offered to end the conservatorship. Oher had a troubled childhood and moved in with the Tuohy family, a story that was portrayed in the film “The Blind Side”.
