DeSanto Rollins, a Black football player at the University of Mississippi, has filed a lawsuit against coach Lane Kiffin and the school, claiming racial and sexual discrimination as well as negligence. Rollins alleges that he was kicked off the team during a mental health crisis and did not receive the same support for his depression as white and female athletes at the university. He is seeking $10 million in compensatory damages and $30 million in punitive damages. The school has refuted these claims, stating that Rollins was never removed from the team and continues to have access to resources and support.
