10-year-old Ava N. Simmons and her sister Chynah Jeter, from Durham, North Carolina, have collaborated with retailers in the U.S. and Canada to launch a new line of educational STEM toys. The sisters, known as Ava the STEM Princess®, aim to inspire children, especially young girls of color, to engage in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields.
