Irish Grinstead, member of the ’90s R&B trio 702, has passed away at the age of 43. Her sister, LeMisha Grinstead, announced the news on Instagram, stating that Irish had been battling “serious medical issues” since December 2022. The cause of her death was not disclosed. The group 702, consisting of the Grinstead sisters and Kameelah Williams, released their debut album in 1996. Their most well-known song, “Where My Girls At?”, reached No. 4 on the Hot 100 chart. Irish’s twin sister, Orish, who also sang backup vocals for the group, died in 2008.
