In this opinion piece, the author discusses the cases of Enrique Tarrio, a former leader of the Proud Boys, as well as Black Trump supporters Harrison Floyd and Trevian Kutti. The author expresses their disdain for these individuals who align themselves with groups that hold racist and bigoted views. Tarrio was recently sentenced to prison for his role in the Jan. 6 insurrection, while Floyd and Kutti are accused of being involved in a criminal enterprise to overturn the Georgia presidential election results. The author argues that these individuals, who are seen as tokens by these groups, ultimately pay the price for their allegiance.
